Art students took a field trip this week to Hugh Lane Gallery. This was a chance for them to explore world class art and find some inspiration for their own work.

On this field trip students learnt about the role this gaol played in imprisoning men, women and children for crimes that ranged from the most minor offences to some of the most momentous events in Irish history, including being the place where the leaders of the Easter Rising were executed by firing squad.
