Duration: One Year Full-Time – September to May
This comprehensive program offers an essential blend of Dance, Music Vocal performance and Acting modules for the student who aspires to a career in Music Theatre Performance.
This course is designed to develop each performers unique potential and broaden their understanding of the world of Musical Theatre.
The focus is on building a comprehensive knowledge of technique and performance skills and develop their competence and ability as a professional performer.

Learners who successfully complete a QQI Level 5 Certificate may be able to use their results to progress to related Level 7 and Level 8 Degree Programmes. Former learners have progressed to Irish and international universities. In Ireland this includes the B.A. (Hons) in Irish Music and Dance and the B.A. (Hons) in Voice and Dance in the University of Limerick. Exploring a range of musical genre and vocal training with an emphasis on timing, and dynamics for solo and ensemble work.
ACTING SKILLS & TECHNIQUES
Developing the essential knowledge, skills and understanding of the craft of the performer.
Fundamentals of Jazz Dance styles including West End, Broadway, Fosse and Street Dance. Learning about the principles of alignment, flexibility, torso articulation, floor work and coordination.
Tap dance skills with an emphasis on rhythm, dynamics and performance.
Choreography, Musical Theatre, Music Performance, Contemporary Dance, Body Conditioning, Improvisation, Hair Artistry for Theatre Productions, TV & Film Make-Up, Communications and Work Experience.

Former learners have progressed to the University of Limerick, The London School of Contemporary Dance, Trinity Laban, London Studio Centre, Arts Educational, Urdang Academy, Experimental Circus Space Austria, Tilburg Academy Holland, Scottish Contemporary Dance, Guilford School of Acting and to the Universities of Leeds, Chichester, Bath Spa and Roehampton.

- LCA or relevant experience
- Learners should have a high degree of motivation and a passionate interest in Performing. Some previous experience is beneficial but not essential.
