About UsWelcome to Sallynoggin College of Further Education
Find the right course for you and Study at Sallynoggin College.
Hi all my name is Charlotte and I would like to talk about my time studying at Sallynoggin College. I started SCFE commencing on a Fetac 5 Childcare course with advancing in to the Fetac 6. When starting SCFE I had no idea how I was going to juggle being a single parent and completing the course but due to such fabulous support and guidance from the teachers they not only helped me finish my Fetac 6 in Childcare Management but gave me the confidence to progress into 3rd level education as I’m currently studying at Trinity College Dublin completing a level 8 Bachelors degree in Nursing currently entering into my 3rd year.
My journey through education started with SCFE and I truly believe my life would have been in a different direction without my time spent there. Sallynoggin College was so much more than a childcare course it was the start of the rest of my life.
Charlotte Gray – now studying at Trinity College Dublin
“I loved every minute of the course, the subjects covered and the amazing instructors who throughout the whole course were there and willing to help. I would honestly hand on heart recommend Sallynoggin College and the Travel and Tourism course to anyone interested in the travel/aviation industry.”
Aisling Fitzpatrick, Cabin Crew Supervisor
Tourism, Travel & Airline Studies
“I wanted to start Physiotherapy as soon as I lost my job, but looking back I think that would have been catastrophic because I learnt a lot at Sallynoggin College of Further Education. The teachers at Sallynoggin College taught me so much about the fundamentals of the anatomy of the body and that meant I hit the ground running when I started University.”
Physiotherapist Stephen Finlay, from Greystones, graduated top of his class & received the Delsys Prize for Academic Excellence.
Personal Training & Sports Therapies
“Since graduating I have completed my apprenticeship with Peter Mark. I am currently teaching at SCFE and running my own business as a stylist. I was also awarded Group Winner of the Peter Mark Colour Trophy 2013.”
Linda Thornton – Winner of the 2016 Image Magazine Business & Beauty Award
Hair & Beauty Course
“SCFE really prepared me, both mentally and physically for the realities of a career in dance. I have since performed and choreographed with Dance Theatre of Ireland across Europe and in China.”
“The course in SCFE gave me a solid grounding in photography, as well as picture editing, book design and display exhibitions. It also instilled in me a skill set and wonderful work ethic, all of which I apply on a daily basis to my work as a professional photographer.”
Richard Gilligan. Based in New York (The New York Times Magazine)
“The skills and knowledge that I learned in SCFE allowed me to go on to work with Jennifer Rothwell, one of Ireland’s leading fashion designers and Alison Conneely, the highly reputable stylist and designer. I highly recommend the Fashion Design course”.
Katie Smith – Design Assistant at Jennifer Rothwell
