Duration: One Years

The emphasis of the Fitness Instruction & Exercise course is to provide a variety of practical and theoretical classes, enabling the learner to gain the underpinning knowledge required to work in the Health & Fitness and Sports Industry or to progress into one of two Level 6 courses here in SCFE.

  • Personal Training & Sports Therapies – including Sports Massage & Physiotherapy Assistant
  • Personal Training & Strength Conditioning

Learners who successfully complete a QQI Level 5 Certificate may use their results to progress to related Level 7 and Level 8 Degree Programmes in Irish and British Universities and Institutes of Technology. Former learners have advanced to the Personal Training and Sports Massage Therapy course at Level 6 here in SCFE. Learners have also progressed to degree programmes in DIT, IT Blanchardstown, Dundalk IT and a variety of Universities in the UK to study Leisure Management, Sports Management & Coaching and Health & Physical Activity.
