LEISURE MANAGEMENT & FITNESS INSTRUCTOR - Year 1

This course offers you a stepping stone into a career in Fitness and Leisure Management. It can be completed over two years and will provide you with job opportunities in a wide range of careers. Examples include: Aerobic and Gym Instructors, Sports Development Officers, Sport Retail Sales, Freelance Fitness Instructors.

Facilities:
Sports hall with a sprung wooden floor
Fully equipped gym with cardiovascular and resistance machines
A mirrored dance studio
Changing rooms, showers and lockers
A free weights area

Course Features

  • Students will combine theory and practical work throughout this course
  • Off-campus activities are included such as dry skiing, hill walking and many more
  • Guest speakers from the fitness and leisure industry
  • Work experience in a variety of settings
  • Basketball, football and rugby teams compete in inter-college leagues
  • Option to undertake additional classes in lifeguard training and swimming instruction
