HAIRDRESSING & BEAUTY THERAPY YEAR 1

This two year course combines hairdressing, beauty therapy and make-up. Students who successfully complete this course will enter into the exciting and rewarding career of Hairdressing and Beauty Therapy.

Career and Employment Opportunities
Direct employment working in the hair and beauty industry as a Hairdresser and/or Beauty Therapist in:

  • Health Farms and Spas
  • Exercise and fitness centres
  • Cosmetic sales
  • On cruise liners
  • As mobile hairdresser or beauty therapist
  • Make-up or hairdressing in the theatre and film industry
Progression to year two of Advanced Hairdressing and Make-up Techniques in this college Graduates may apply for a place in third level colleges

Entry Requirements
Leaving Certificate level or equivalent.
Applicants may be accepted without the formal academic qualification.
